Our experience at Rivendell was a wonderful one. The staff were so good to our mother. They were always informative when we called and were timely in calling us back. We know that they truly cared.
We offer acute inpatient care for children ages 5–11, adolescents ages 12–18, and adults ages 18 and up.
Treatment options include medically assisted detox and substance abuse treatment for adults 18 and older.
Our Trust Program provides treatment for adolescents ages 12–18 who struggle with substance abuse or chemical dependency issues in addition to mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety.
Our therapeutic program for children ages 5 and up provides a secure, consistent and nurturing treatment environment for those facing behavioral or psychiatric issues.
Our program offers treatment dedicated to serving youth with mental health issues, behavioral problems, emotional and mood disorders, and secondary substance abuse issues in a secure, nurturing environment.
When co-occurring disorders present alongside addiction to drugs and/or alcohol, it is important to treat both the psychiatric condition and issues of substance abuse.
Rivendell Behavioral Health Hospital’s Choices program treats a wide range of psychiatric issues in children ages 5 and older. Our patients receive treatment for depression, post-traumatic stress, anxiety, disordered thinking and behavioral issues in a secure, nurturing environment. Treatment focuses on developing self-control skills, strengthening self-esteem, resolving family conflicts and developing basic social skills. Our program often includes medication management with the goal of providing medical intervention to diminish the symptoms of your child’s illness.
Each child receives an individualized treatment plan that is based on thorough psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments. Therapists work to quickly identify problems that are affecting your child’s behavior, and coach young patients to learn effective coping skills through an intense Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills training and group therapy.
Our primary treatment programs for teens include Adolescent Psychiatric Care and Substance Abuse Treatment. Each of our programs are geared to help youth receive quick access to treatment resources in a secure, positive environment. The New Directions Program provides acute psychiatric inpatient care and partial hospitalization for teens in crisis, and places emphasis on effective coping alternatives and intensive skills training. The Trust Program (Teenage Recovery, Understanding Sobriety through Treatment) treats youth ages 13–18 who are struggling with substance abuse issues or a dual diagnosis.
Rivendell Behavioral Health offers treatment for adults struggling with mental health or addiction issues.
Patients in our substance abuse program face substance abuse issues, poly-substance dependence or dual diagnosis. Treatment options include medically supervised detoxification or a full 30-day rehabilitation program.
Treatment plans are based on thorough psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments. Our staff are experienced in adult treatment, with specific knowledge about adult substance abuse issues. Each patient gets access to a multidisciplinary treatment team, including a psychiatrist, nursing staff, a licensed mental health therapist, a dietician and a recreational therapist. Case managers will assist each patient with understanding their treatment options, planning for discharge, aftercare needs and working with insurance carriers.
