Referrals are accepted 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from individuals or family members, physicians, therapists, teachers or agencies. Call now to schedule an assessment.

Rivendell is a hospital, we are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We are ready to take your call any time, day or night.

The doctor may order crisis intervention of a few days or more for some situations. Some issues, like substance abuse, take longer to treat. Each patient is thoroughly assessed and the doctor will share their recommendations with the patient and their family.

Rivendell is approved by Medicaid, Medicare and most commercial insurance providers, including Anthem, Humana and TRICARE®. Our admissions staff will review your insurance benefits.

Rivendell provides all the basic necessities including hygiene products. Bring a few changes of clothing, but leave clothing items with strings or wires at home. Keep in mind Rivendell is thinking “safety first.” Each treatment program has a unique list of items you’ll need, and that is provided at admission. Leave phones, laptops and electronics at home. Forgot something? It’s fine to drop off any needed items after admission.

Families are so important and very welcome during visiting hours. Visiting hours are planned to coincide with therapeutic scheduling. Specific visitation times will be provided at admission. You will have the opportunity to make a list of visitors you’d like to receive. Each patient is given a privacy ID that is required for contact.

Patient safety and confidentiality in treatment are our top priorities. Your private healthcare information, which includes your admission, will only be shared with your permission.

Rivendell providers offer outpatient medication management.

Rivendell is located on a 48-acre private campus in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The address is 1035 Porter Pike, Bowling Green, KY 42103.

The doctor will approve your admission and direct your care throughout your hospital stay. The rest of the multidisciplinary treatment team includes advanced practice registered nurses and nursing staff, licensed mental health therapists, dieticians, teachers and recreational therapists. These experienced professionals are trained in the unique physical, emotional and social needs that accompany mental health and substance abuse treatment problems.

Rivendell is accredited by The Joint Commission.

  • New Directions – Acute crisis intervention for teens.
  • Trust – Substance abuse treatment for adolescents ages.
  • Crossroads – Medical detox and substance abuse treatment for adults. Adult programs are separated from the child and adolescent programs.
